Whether you are a businessman, a lawyer, an engineer, doctor or even an accountant, nothing ever happens in your profession or area of specialization until a sale takes place. Selling is very vital in all areas of life that regards to money and finance, this is so true because no matter the profession you find yourself, someone needs to buy into what you have to offer. Take for example, if you are an engineer, you will need to convince me your employer to hire you by showcasing and selling that skill you have as an engineer before you can think of me hiring you as part of my staff.
In business, the most important tool for financial growth and prosperity is sales, how marketable and sell able is your business to your clients and customers, what makes it unique and drags people to petronise you instead of the next shop across the road, it all depends on your selling skills, without it, you can hardly go far or succeed in any business or profession.
If any company should decide to close its sales for a whole month, watch what happens to everyone in that company, both the engineer, the accountant and every other worker would start complaining and this may result to temporary or permanent shut down of the company because of lack of sales and finance, that company cannot strive.
In conclusion, as an individual, a company or firm, always endeavour to work tirelessly on your sale and marketable skill, if it will cost you to invest in selling skill acquisition or hiring of highly trained professional sales men and women in your company, do so to reap the benefits of increase sales and more finance in the long run. Never forget, sales is life blood of any business.
