As the above saying goes, it is better when explaining a particular thing or topic, to make it as easily understandable in such a way that even a lame man can get the message you are trying to pass across.
Avoid using unnecessary, vague and ambiguous language in the course of explaining something.
The best way you can find out if someone is very good at a particular thing he or she is explaining about is to check if you can easily understand what the person is saying, if not, it could be that the person is as confuse as you are in what he is explaining about and simply do not understand it well enough.
