Stop! doing this to your phone memory card so it can last longer!

memory cards for phone
Phone Memory Card.

A lot of persons complain so much about their phone memory card that it refuses to store files or that it can not be accessed by their phones, some even go ahead to blame it on 'made in China' products because they think that most of China made products are inferior products but fail to realize that China has some of the best tech products you can think of worldwide with no exception to the memory card you might be using right now.

No matter the size of your memory card (250mb, 500mb, 1Gb, 2Gb, 16Gb, 32Gb or what have you), there must be certain awful things you are doing to your phone memory card that its making it perform badly or refusing to store files in it. Some of these things are what am about to share with you below, do not do them and your memory card would last much more longer.
  • You should avoid erasing and writing of files on memory card; This is the part I love to emphasis the most, a lot of persons that I have come across with this memory card problem are those that like to download all sorts of things in their phone even though what they are downloading is not useful to them, it does not matter in as much as they like the application, game or file or have heard of it, they would go ahead to download it and later when the memory card is filled up, the best next thing to do is to start deleting files and uninstalling applications from the phone. This is really bad for the health of your memory card and you should avoid doing this regularly for your phone memory card to last longer.
  • I would plead on this one, please do not remove memory card from your phone or turn it off when you are transferring data or file from your phone memory card to another device or switch off your phone in the process of accessing information from it: Now this is another aspect you might be getting  it all wrong, when you are about transferring file to some one, may be through fileshare or bluetooth and suddenly you noticed that the phone hanged or its not responding, instead of being patient for it to respond, you quickly switch off and re-on it. If you are the type that does so, please stop because by doing so, you are reducing the lifespan of your memory card.
  • You should not subject your memory card to strong shock like hitting it with something hard, sitting on it, stepping your foot on it, in general avoid anything with hard surface or heavy weight from coming in contact with your phone memory card.
  • Do not touch memory card terminals with your fingers or metal objects, if terminal is dirty, wipe clean with a soft and clean cloth.
  • Finally, for your memory card to last longer, you should not expose it to a place subject to electrostatic discharge or electrical noise.
