Christmas season is a season of showing love to people irrespective of who they are to us. It is a season of giving to mark the birth of Jesus Christ whom Christians all over the world believe to be the Saviour of the world. According to the Holy Book, Jesus was born in a manger, a trough mostly used in livestock feeding and raising of wild animals. This indeed was a very humble beginning for Jesus Christ, still there is a lesson to learn from it and that is, no matter your humble beginning, you can still make it to limelight in life. Even if you are born into a very poor family, it does not mean that you will remain poor in life.


He who celebrates Christmas should endeavor to show love to not just the rich and affluent but to the poor and lowly, this indeed is the basis of celebrating Christmas. There are millions of poor folks out there who need some help from you that has so much wealth. This season is a period to help the poor and the needy in our midst, it is not just about eating, drinking and making merry.

In conclusion.  to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, 'Saviour of the world', you should endeavor to show love most especially to the poor and needy around you and by doing so, you are fulfilling the true basis of celebrating Christmas.
