There comes a time when you really want to make that wonderful change to your blogger template so it can stand out with that unique look or feature you love so much. When that time comes, you may be stuck with how you can safely and successfully edit your template to create that new look, on this ground, I will be sharing with you some tips that you can use to edit your blogger template safely.
STEPS TO EDITING BLOGGER TEMPLATE:
<> Log on to your blogger dashboard and click on the blog you want to edit as shown below.
<> Click on the 'Template' link as illustrated below.
<> Ensure to click the 'Backup/Restore' button to download a full copy of your template, this is very essential and highly recommended so that in case something goes wrong while trying to edit your template code, you can easily upload your previous template back. When you click on it, a window will appear as shown below.
<> Click on 'OK' on the next dialogue box that appears to save template into hard drive of your computer device.
<> Click on 'Edit HTML' on the 'Live on blog' view.
<> A block of codes will appear when you click the 'Edit HTML' button, you can find a particular code you want to edit by making use of the line number as indicated below or better still, you can hold down Ctrl + F or Ctrl + G on your keyboard for a search field to appear at the top right corner of the page.
<>When you are done with editing you template, you can preview how your template look by clicking the 'Preview' button. If you are pleased with what you see in the preview window, you can then go ahead to click the 'Save Template' button to save your template.
