President Barack Obama breaks Twitter World Record in less than 6 Hours!

President Barack Obama, present president of the United State of America has broken the world's twitter record in just five hours. He did this on Monday according to the world's Guiness Records after he signed up for his own twitter account with username @POTUS three days ago. He was followed by 1million followers in under 5 hours. The previous record holder, Robert Downey Jr. achieved the same feat within 24 hours.

Although, this is not the first tme president Obama has made use of twitter.com, its just that previously he was using an account from the US White house with usernames @WhiteHouse and but @BarackObama the difference between the previous two and the new one is that those two are managed by staffers of the White house but this one is exclusively and directly used by president Obama himself.

Presently, as at today, 21st  May, 2015, president Obama has about 2.26 million followers with just about 4 tweets and 65 following
