The dictionary meaning of honesty is the quality of being honest, that is upright, truthful, and straightforward. For you to be honest, you must be truthful to yourself and others, your character should portray uprightness, trustworthiness, fairness, sincerity and loyalty. The world today is full of people that are not honest first with themselves and with others no wonder honesty is indeed a very expensive gift you should not expect from just anyone but those with 'pure' soul and mind.
In conclusion, honesty is a very costly thing you should not expect from people who are cheap and easily bought over because such persons can never be loyal and sincere with you. In a short while they can be sincere with you but in the long run they may betray you for another.
